Scott Frost looking forward to opportunity vs. Illinois; ‘I can’t wait to get on the field with this group’

Nebraska is set to begin Year 4 of the Scott Frost era on Aug. 28 when they go on the road for a matchup vs. Illinois (1 p.m. EST/FOX).
Nebraska is coming off a 3-5 season in 2020 and has had losing seasons in all three years under Frost. Nebraska hasn’t had a winning season since 2016 and hasn’t won a bowl game since 2015.
However, Frost is still optimistic that a revival can take place for Nebraska in 2021. Frost addressed the media on Aug. 26 and touched on a variety of topics.
Here’s a sampling of what Frost had to say:
“College football is a better game when the fans are involved. There’s more passion in college football than any other sport, in my opinion. We missed our fans and hope there’s a lot of Nebraska in the stadium on Saturday.”
“I can’t wait to get on the field with this group of kids. It’s far and away my favorite group of kids I’ve been around since I’ve been here.”
“This group does things the right way, has the right attitude and they’ve been working hard to get ready for Saturday.”
Nebraska also recently announced its mask policy for home games.
