Scott Frost and Nebraska suffered another one-possession loss in the 31-28 loss to Northwestern in Ireland on Saturday. With that loss to Northwestern, Nebraska has now lost five consecutive matchups versus each of its fellow B1G West Divisional rivals.
Nebraska’s most recent win over a divisional rival was last year’s 56-7 win at home over Northwestern on October 2. This victory was also the last time that Nebraska has won a game.
Following the loss to Northwestern the Nebraska Cornhuskers have now lost its most recent attempt against every other team in the Big Ten West.

Before Saturday’s loss to Northwestern, Nebraska had lost four straight B1G West games to Minnesota, Purdue, Wisconsin, and Iowa in one-possession games. They also lost to Illinois in a one-possession in the first game of the 2021 college football season.
Nebraska’s next game will be against North Dakota on Sept. 3. After such a hard-fought game in Dublin and a quick turnaround traveling home, the Huskers will need to rest and recover quickly to get ready.
The next B1G West divisional matchup is on Oct. at Purdue.
