Ever since the Michigan State game, Nebraska QB Adrian Martinez hasn’t been 100%. Martinez suffered a lower-body injury in the team’s 23-20 overtime loss in Week 5. He was hurt during the first quarter of the game, but returned later just before the end of the quarter.
However, during a Thursday press conference, Nebraska head coach Scott Frost revealed that Martinez is nearly recovered from his injuries. It appears that the bye week did a lot of good in terms of Martinez’s recovery.
What did the week off do for Adrian Martinez? It got him healthier, according to Scott Frost this morning.
“He’s been playing through a lot. He looks full speed, so I’m excited to see him at 100% again.”

The Cornhuskers will need Martinez to be at his best if they want to become bowl eligible with four games left in the season.
Nebraska’s (3-5) next test will be against 4-3 Purdue on ESPN2 Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
