Scott Frost says ‘it doesn’t look good’ regarding injury to Nebraska starting LB

One of Nebraska’s best defensive players could miss a large chunk of time because of an injury, according to head coach Scott Frost.
Following Saturday’s spring game, Frost talked about an injury starting linebacker Will Honas suffered earlier in the week. The head coach summed it up in just a few words, saying it “doesn’t look good.” He also said it’s unlikely that Honas is ready for the start of the 2021 season.
Frost did not elaborate on the injury, per Sam McKewon of the Omaha World-Herald.

Honas decided to take advantage of the NCAA’s additional year of eligibility and return to Nebraska for the 2021 season. He is coming off year in which he was an Honorable Mention All-B1G selection.
In 2020, Honas started in all seven games in which he appeared, missing one contest. He was the team’s leading tackler with 57 stops and totaling 6.5 tackles for loss. The linebacker also registered 3 sacks on the year.
During his three seasons in Lincoln, Honas has played in 23 career games and has 145 tackles. He’s recorded 12 tackles for loss and 4 sacks since his arrival in 2018.
Prior to joining the Huskers, Honas played at Butler Community College for two seasons.
