Scott Van Pelt gives his ATS pick for Michigan-Maryland

Maryland is welcoming Michigan to College Park in a homecoming game this weekend with some interesting storylines throughout.
Most notably, the game will be a showdown between former co-workers in Maryland head coach Mike Locksley and Michigan offensive coordinator Josh Gattis. The two worked together at Alabama during 2018 as a part of Nick Saban’s staff.
Locksley served as the offensive coordinator last season with Gattis working as the co-OC and WRs coach. The offseason saw both coaches leave Tuscaloosa and wind up in the B1G East.
Unfortunately, the action on the field is not predicted to be very intriguing for Week 10. Michigan enters the game as a 21-point favorite as the Wolverines are coming off of throttling Notre Dame.

ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt picked the game against the spread with a number of other college games for the weekend, and he is actually taking the Terrapins +21.
“It’s been a tough road for the Dirty Terps,” said SVP. “Wheels have fallen off. Michigan giving 21 in College Park. They’re gonna go with the script Terps helmet, homecoming, let’s go to Bentley’s. It’ll stay within 21. In my mind and in my heart, I’ll be there.”
It should be noted that SVP is an alumnus of Maryland. He’s at least going with his heart in taking the Terrapins to keep it a bit closer than three touchdowns.
