Sean Clifford has been hot and cold in Week 1 for Penn State. But when the Nittany Lions needed him the most, Clifford stepped up and delivered.
With less than 3 minutes remaining, Clifford and the offense got the ball back for one more shot and facing a 31-28 deficit. Oh, and a pick-six off an errant throw by Clifford was the reason for the deficit.
Clifford responded by leading the offense 80 yards on 8 plays, going 6-for-7 for 72 yards on the drive in the process. The final toss was a 10-yard throw to the pylon off a wheel route for Keyvone Lee.
Lee had beaten his man on the route and it was an easy over-the-shoulder grab for the running back to make 35-31, Nittany Lions:

That score with less than a minute to go was the 7th lead change of the night between the two sides. That touchdown also went down as the game-winner with the Nittany Lion defense holding Purdue on the final play of the game.
