Sean Clifford put Penn State on the board for the first time in 2022, connecting with new Nittany Lion receiver Mitchell Tinsley for the duo’s first touchdown of the season.
After marching down the field, Clifford put the finishing touches on the drive by finding Tinsley on a crossing route over the middle of the field. Tinsley had a step on his defender and outran the defense to the pylon.

After a sluggish start to the game, the offense has found a groove and is starting to click. Clifford also converted a short 4th-down play and is 5-for-9 for 60 yards and a touchdown in the early going.
We’ll see how things shape up moving forward, but that was a beautiful sustained drive for the first touchdown of the season.
