Sean Clifford and Penn State started off Saturday’s matchup in a fantastic fashion, having scored two touchdowns over Maryland headed into the second quarter.

It’s been another stellar performance by Clifford, who already has 1 TD and 21 passing yards in the game. With the addition of that yardage, Clifford became No. 1 in school history in passing yards. Clifford’s career total climbed to 9,903, surpassing the total of Nittany Lion turned Arizona Cardinal QB Trace McSorley.

The record is the fourth such one for Clifford this season. The QB also holds the Penn State records for passing TDs, completion & attempts, and completion percentage. Coming into Saturday, the star QB has amassed 2,045 passing yards, and 16 TDs while earning a 70.1 QB rating so far this season.

We’ll see how Clifford caps off the season, but he’s put together quite the career in Happy Valley.
