Former Michigan State Spartan and Doak Walker Award-winning running back Kenneth Walker III is set to make his NFL debut for the Seattle Seahawks when they take on the San Francisco 49ers.

Walker missed the Week 1 matchup on Monday Night Football versus the Denver Broncos due to a hernia injury he suffered during the preseason. He is set to backup Rashaad Penny for Seattle.

He was selected by Seattle in the second round (41st overall pick) in the 2022 NFL Draft to provide key depth and support with Chris Carson having neck surgery that forced him to retire later in the off-season.

In his one season at Michigan State after transferring from Wake Forest, Walker rushed for 1,636 yards and 18 touchdowns on 263 carries. He was also a unanimous All-American in the 2021 season.
