SEC levies down punishment on Tennessee following embarrassing showing from fans

The SEC announced its penalties for the events at last week’s Tennessee vs. Ole Miss game Monday morning.
With 54 seconds left, Vols tight end Jacob Warren was ruled short of a crucial 1st down, meaning Tennessee turned the ball over on downs. Vols fans reacted by throwing debris onto the field, including a golf ball toward Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin. The game was delayed for 20 minutes as a result.
Now, we know how the SEC is punishing Tennessee for those actions, including a $250,000 fine:

Ole Miss ended up going 3-and-out on the next drive, giving Tennessee 27 seconds to win the game. Joe Milton came in at quarterback after Hendon Hooker went down with an injury, but ran out of bounds as time expired to seal Ole Miss’ 31-26 victory.
Tennessee now has to get ready to face Alabama in Tuscaloosa this week.
