Second ESPN college football analyst tests positive for COVID-19

Not long after Kirk Herbstreit revealed that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and will have to broadcast Friday’s Sugar Bowl remotely, a second ESPN college football analyst revealed he has tested positive for the virus.
Greg McElroy confirmed on Twitter that he had a positive test. He was scheduled to call the Cotton Bowl Game between Florida and Oklahoma, as well as be on the radio call for the Rose Bowl Game matchup featuring Alabama and Notre Dame — a semifinal game in the College Football Playoff.
It sounds like McElroy will not be calling either game.

“This is my favorite week of the year. I’m disappointed, but I feel good and hope to be back soon. Appreciate y’all!”
Herbstreit also announced his positive test on Tuesday night. Unlike McElroy, though, it sounds as if Herbstreit will still be able to call the Sugar Bowl featuring Ohio State and Clemson while working remotely.
