Jalen Cone is in the transfer portal, and the former four-star recruit reportedly included three B1G schools among his potential destinations.

According to reporter Jeff Goodman with Stadium, Cone included Indiana, Nebraska, and Penn State on his list. He is also considering Oklahoma State, NAU, Buffalo, and Iowa State.

Cone would be a welcome addition to any of those B1G rosters for a variety of reasons. Nebraska is still looking to build a program under Fred Hoiberg while Indiana and Penn State feature new head coaches in Mike Woodson and Micah Shrewsberry, respectively, in need of building a roster for 2021.

Cone was a four-star point guard for the 2019 recruiting class. He was ranked the No. 9 PG nationally by the 247 Sports Composite and was just outside the top-100 prospects.

In two seasons at Virginia Tech, Cone appeared in 47 games (seven starts) while averaging 8.4 points per game. He is a career 41% shooter from three-point range and averages 2.1 three-point field goals per game.
