Shea Patterson: Wolverines must approach every B1G game like they are playing OSU

It sounds like the narrow win over Northwestern served as a wake up call for Michigan.

The Wolverines were able to erase a 17-0 deficit and came back to win 20-17. A strong second half by the Wolverines’ defense set the stage for Shea Patterson and the offense to seal the win late.

While there were some bright spots in the win, Michigan cannot afford to have that kind of slow start every weekend. Instead of building a deficit to overcome late, the Wolverines need to start strong out of the gate.

When addressing the importance of these B1G games, Patterson pointed out Monday that the team needs to approach every game like they are taking on Ohio State. It is a strange way to put it, but treating every game like a matchup with the Buckeyes will likely give the team a sense of urgency at kickoff.
