Since the news broke that Urban Meyer allegedly knew about a history of domestic violence arrests involving former assistant coach Zach Smith, there has been a separation of two groups on social media: those who strongly support the Meyer family, and those who vehemently oppose.

There really isn’t any in-between.

On Monday, one of the critics of the Meyer family quote-tweeted a message from Meyer’s wife Shelley with the hashtag “no secrets.” He responded with the following message:

“No secrets unless you get text of domestic abuse…”

Shelley Meyer was grown tired of hearing from the other side, and fired back to the message, calling the user “hateful, uniformed and ignorant.”

“You clearly are a hateful, uninformed, ignorant person of the REAL acts of this issue (as are many who post as you do,” Shelley Meyer wrote. “Please, please go make someone’s day BETTER by blessing them w(ith) your time and compassion (gotta have some). And now you are blocked.”

Most of Meyer’s supporters approved the response.

Urban Meyer is still serving a three-game suspension that was levied by the Board of Trustees at Ohio State. Saturday’s game against TCU will mark the final game of his suspension.
