Sherrone Moore and the Michigan Wolverines got a 27-24 win against Minnesota on Saturday, but the Michigan coach still wasn’t thrilled with the team’s performance at all.
“Not very happy with the performance you know,” Moore told Jenny Taft of Fox Sports after the game. “The kids work so hard to come out here. We as coaches and as a team have a lot of cleaning up to do.”

The Wolverines were in complete control of the game early, as they led 21-3 at the half. They were still leading 24-3 at the end of the third, but were outscored 21-3 as Minnesota almost came back and stole the game.
“They came out with a lot of energy and we didn’t,” Moore said. “I’ll take that on me, but we obviously won the game so we are happy about that. But, we have to get better.”
One of the big talking points for the Wolverines has been the play at the quarterback, especially Alex Orji as he has become the starter. It was another pedestrian performance for him after finishing 10-of-18 for 86 yards and 1 touchdown. In his last 2 games, he has thrown for only 118 yards.
Michigan will have one week to get better as the team travels to Seattle to take on the Washington Huskies. The Huskies lost to Rutgers, 21-18, in an extremely competitive game on Friday night.
