Sherrone Moore has been the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines for less than a year. On the field, the results have not been great thus far, as the team sits at 5-5 heading into Week 13.
Off the field, however, the coach just pulled off a huge heist. Bryce Underwood, the top player in the 2025 class, officially flipped his commitment to Michigan from LSU on Thursday. With quarterback play being the biggest issue for the Wolverines in 2024, adding the top high school passer in the nation should certainly help.
After the news broke, Moore took to social media to reveal his excitement.
“The best players in Michigan go to Michigan!” said the coach.

Underwood is not only the best in Michigan, but the best in the country. Per the 247Sports Composite ranking, the generational talent is the No. 1 overall prospect in the nation. Underwood stars for Belleville High School in Belleville, MI, which is only about 30 minutes away from Ann Arbor.
In 2023 as a junior, Underwood was the Gatorade Michigan Player of the Year and led his team to a 13-1 record. The QB originally committed to LSU in January after narrowing his list to LSU, Michigan, Alabama, Colorado, Penn State, Florida State, and Oregon.
The addition of Underwood gives the Wolverines the No. 9 recruiting class in the country for 2025. Underwood and fellow 5-star prospect offensive lineman Andrew Babaloa headline the Wolverines’ class for next season.
