Sherrone Moore waves goodbye to Ohio Stadium after Michigan’s game-clinching stop

Sherrone Moore and Michigan just did the unthinkable. At least, it was unthinkable to many fans around the country, but it was never an impossible task to the Wolverines.
Staked as a nearly 3-touchdown underdog against Ohio State, Michigan rolled into Ohio Stadium and absolutely befuddled the Buckeyes. Ryan Day’s team and elite offense was shut down and held to 10 points, by far the lowest output of their season, while at home in The Game.
Kalel Mullings also provided a jolt for the Wolverines, racing for a dramatic 3rd-down conversion late in the 4th quarter that would set up the game-winning field goal. Mullings’ run left Ohio State with less than a minute of clock remaining, and the Buckeyes were unable to do anything yet again offensively.
As soon as Will Howard’s 4th-and-9 pass fell incomplete, Moore was in full celebration mode, along with much of Michigan’s bench. The head coach ran directly behind the bench and began waving goodbye to fans inside Ohio Stadium.

After filling in for Jim Harbaugh during last season’s matchup, Moore is now 2-0 as the head coach of the Wolverines in The Game. He also helped deliver Michigan’s first 4-game winning streak since 1988-91.
