There were some impressive wide receiver performances from around the B1G this season!
For Minnesota, Rashod Bateman made a huge jump as a sophomore and went on to capture the Richter-Howard Receiver of the Year award for the conference. At Ohio State, Chris Olave had a breakout season of his own working with Justin Fields.
Among freshmen, Ohio State’s Garrett Wilson and Purdue’s David Bell particularly impressed with some strong performances. Nebraska’s Wan’Dale Robinson also showed flashes as a multi-purpose player for the Cornhuskers.
Heading into 2020, there is once again expected to be a big crop of talented receivers in the conference. Recently, PFF unveiled a list of the top WRs returning for the 2020 season, and there are some B1G stars throughout.
Here are the six players that made that list, including two receivers each from Purdue and Ohio State:
- 3. Rashod Bateman, Minnesota
- 5. Rondale Moore, Purdue
- 10. Chris Olave, Ohio State
- 15. David Bell, Purdue
- 19. Whop Philyor, Indiana
