Social media is going crazy following Troy’s upset of Nebraska

This is not how the Scott Frost era at Nebraska was supposed to start.

Nebraska hired Frost in the off-season with big things in mind for the future. It is undeniable that Frost faces a tough task in rebuilding the Cornhuskers, but the start of 2018 is still tough for fans to swallow.

The team opened the season with a heart-breaking loss to Colorado. Nebraska led for much of the game but lost starting QB Adrian Martinez to injury. Martinez was held out of action against Troy, but it was still expected that the Huskers would get the win behind QB Andrew Bunch and company.

Unfortunately, that was not meant to be as the Trojans surprised Nebraska by a final score of 24-19. It will be a tough loss for fans to deal with for quite some time, and plenty of college football fans took time to react to the loss on Twitter:
