Defensive lineman Will Smith Jr. is heading to Columbus to play college football per Jeremy Birmingham of On3 Sports. His father, the late Will Smith, also played for Ohio State (2000-2003) and was a part of the 2002 National Championship team.

Smith is a member of Class of 2023 from Dublin, Ohio and attends Dublin Coffman High School. He is listed as a 3-star DL per the 247Sports Composite. He comes in at 6-foot-3, 260 pounds.

Smith is the 71st-ranked player at his position, and the 14th-best player from Ohio. Smith received offers from 2 other B1G schools with Illinois and Northwestern also offering him.

The Buckeyes have officially landed a legacy D-lineman.
