Sonny Dykes spoke at the College Football Playoff media session on Saturday. The TCU HC discussed his thoughts on the transfer portal and NIL and what they mean for college football.
There are some people around the country who think that the portal and NIL deals are a bad thing for college football. Dykes is on the other side of that argument.
Dykes explained that he likes what the portal and NIL deals has done for college football players. Dykes stated that anything that is good for the players is a good thing for football.
“Anything that’s good for the players, I think is a good thing,” said Dykes.

Sonny Dykes is a true contrarian among his profession. Doesn’t understand why everyone thinks the changes in CFB are “bad.” Thinks NIL and portal are a good thing. “Anything that’s good for the players, I think is a good thing.”
