Spartans announce captains for B1G East battle with Ohio State

Michigan State and Ohio State are duking it out for control of the B1G East on Saturday. Both Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State are all 9-1 with just two games left in the regular season.

With the game coming up, Michigan State Football announced the captains on Twitter Tuesday. The Buckeyes lead the all-time series with a 34-15 record against the Spartans. Ohio State has also won 5 straight Michigan State.

DE Jeff Pietrowski, punter Bryce Baringer,  safety Xavier Henderson, and offensive lineman J.D. Duplain will all be captains for the game. Pietrowski is the only underclassmen out of the group that will be a captain, and is also the Spartans’ leader in sacks with 5.5 on the year. Henderson is the team’s leader in total tackles with 82.

No. 4 Ohio State (9-1) and No. 7 Michigan State (9-1) play Saturday at 12 p.m. ET on ABC.
