Special teams matter! Penn State P Jordan Stout taken in Round 4 of NFL Draft

Jordan Stout heard his name called in the fourth round of this year’s NFL Draft. The former Penn State standout is heading to the Baltimore Ravens.
Stout was the first punter taken in this year’s draft, selected No. 130 overall by the Ravens. He’s also the fifth player out of Penn State to be picked, joining Jahan Dotson, Arnold Ebiketie, Jaquan Brisker and Brandon Smith.
Stout was named the B1G Punter of the Year following an outstanding 2021 season. He became notorious for flipping the field and pinning teams deep in their own territory throughout the year. He was also a solid placekicker for the Nittany Lions.
In addition to B1G honors, Stout was also a second-team All-American selection.
Stout averaged 46.5 yards per punt during the 2021 season. He pinned opponents inside their own 20-yard line 34 times and recorded 25 punts that exceeded 50 yards. Stout ended the year forcing 26 fair catches with just 3 touchbacks.
Stout also connected on 16-of-23 field goal attempts, which included a long of 45 yards.
