Spencer Petras and Iowa continued their November roll in Week 12. With a 13-10 win over Minnesota, the Hawkeyes have now won 4 straight this season and 3 in the month of November.

Now, Iowa is the only team in the B1G West to control its own destiny in Week 13. Tied atop the division with Purdue at 5-3 in B1G play, the Hawkeyes hold a head-to-head tie-break against the Boilermakers.

Despite the recent results, Petras knows there’s still one hurdle left to clear with a Black Friday game against Nebraska.

“One more. Gotta finish it out,” said Petras. “A helluva lot to play for.”

With a win, Iowa would play in back-to-back B1G Championship Games and the third-ever trip to Indianapolis for the Hawkeyes. Iowa would be the first B1G West team to make back-to-back trips to the title game since Wisconsin in 2016-17.

As for Petras, he has been more efficient and protective of the ball as of late. During Iowa’s 4-game winning streak, Petras has thrown for 3 touchdowns and has 3 rushing touchdowns without an interception.

We’ll see if Petras and the Hawkeyes can keep this thing going in the regular-season finale against Nebraska.
