There’s still one game left on the college basketball schedule, but some media outlets are already releasing their way-too-early polls for next season.
On Monday, Michael DeCourcy of Sporting News released his way-too-early top 25 rankings for the 2019-20 season, and he’s already got plenty of respect for the B1G. In his poll, DeCourcy has six teams from the league listed in the top 25.
Three of those teams are ranked in the top 10 spots.
After a year in which the B1G had eight teams make the NCAA Tournament and three squads play in the Sweet Sixteen, that doesn’t seem to be too far of a stretch. Here are where DeCourcy sees the six B1G teams landing:
- No. 2 Michigan State
- No. 4 Michigan
- No. 9 Purdue
- No. 15 Ohio State
- No. 21 Iowa
- No. 24 Maryland
The B1G was considered by many to be one of the best and deepest conferences in college basketball. With so much talent returning to so many teams next year, it’s likely the league will enjoy another outstanding season.
