Sports Illustrated likes Penn State to beat Michigan

The featured game for the B1G this weekend is the Michigan Wolverines against the Penn State Nittany Lions.
Since it’s a highly contested matchup, Sports Illustrated writers decided to pick the game. And a vast majority of them like the Nittany Lions to beat the Wolverines.
Six out of the seven writers picked Penn State to win. Eric Single was the only one to take Michigan. Here is Chris Johnson’s take on why the Nittany Lions will win this Saturday:
“This is the first of two games that will determine whether the Nittany Lions can win the Big Ten East. (The more challenging one is next week at Ohio State.) Michigan could keep it close early, but the Wolverines don’t have the horses on offense to keep up with Penn State.”
Kickoff between the two teams is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on ABC.
