Sports Illustrated’s preseason Top 25 includes 5 from B1G

The first official preseason poll was released last week with the USA Today Coaches Poll dropping its first rankings of the 2021 season. Five B1G teams were included in the initial poll.
Sports Illustrated’s Pat Forde also recently released his Top 25 heading into the year, and also included five B1G teams in his Top 25. However, those five teams from the league are ranked higher than where they landed in the Coaches Poll.
Ohio State still leads the way, coming in at No. 2 on the poll. Wisconsin is the B1G’s other Top 10 squad, listed at No. 8. Indiana, Iowa and Penn State were the other three squads from the conference that received a mention.
