Minnesota is breaking out a few trick plays during the spring game. The first of the day resulted in a touchdown.
In the red zone in the first quarter, the Maroon drew up a trick play which resulted in quarterback Tanner Morgan hauling in a pass from wide receiver Michael Brown-Stephens. Morgan was wide open and walked into the end zone for the first score of the afternoon.

Head coach P.J. Fleck is requiring both teams to throw in at least two tick plays offensively during the spring game. He doesn’t want to open up the playbook too much this weekend, but does want guys to have fun.
This trick play worked to perfection. It would be fun to see this during the regular season at some point, as well.
