B1G football has arrived. Well, kind of.
Week 4 will mark the third straight week in which a conference game has been played, but it’s the first time this year that half of the Saturday schedule has been dedicated to league contests. We’re entering the heart of B1G season.
This weekend, we’ll have three conference games with three non-league games also on the slate. Nine B1G teams are in action while five will enjoy a weekend of rest. The week is highlighted by a top 25 showdown between Michigan and Wisconsin, and Michigan State-Northwestern should be an interesting matchup as well. Nebraska-Illinois closes out B1G play for the night.
With only six games this week, our margin for error in our weekly picks is pretty slim. Last week, we were pretty close to .500 as a group. Here’s a look at the standings three weeks into the year:
- Connor O’Gara: 5-5 (20-14)
- Paul Harvey: 6-4 (18-16)
- Dustin Schutte: 5-5 (15-19)
- Kevin Cunningham: 3-7 (12-22)
Connor built a pretty big lead, but Paul is closing in. Kevin and I are still just trying to get above the .500 mark. We’ll see if that happens this Saturday.
Here are our Week 4 B1G picks against the spread:
