ST expert picks against the spread: Slow Saturday in store for Week 10 in the B1G
If you’re one of those individuals who complains about fall weddings, this might be the Saturday you’d be willing to surrender to appease your friends and family.
Week 10 in the B1G provides us with just four games, meaning eight teams are in action while six enjoy a week off. This weekend and Week 11 are really the last two weeks of rest for anyone before the final stretch of the season. Hard to believe we’re already in November, isn’t it?
Since we’re in a new month, it’s only appropriate that we have a new name atop our leaderboard. Senior writer Connor O’Gara had been the leader of our weekly picks since the first week of the year. But news editor Paul Harvey has captured the lead heading into the final month. I remain right in the mix, while fellow news editor Kevin Cunningham is still trying to get over .500.
Here are last week’s results, along with the season standings:
- Paul Harvey: 4-4 (42-32)
- Connor O’Gara: 2-6 (40-34)
- Dustin Schutte: 5-3 (40-34)
- Kevin Cunningham: 4-4 (34-40)
With just four games on the slate, there’s very little margin for error. Here are our Week 10 B1G picks against the spread:
Week 10 Games | Connor | Paul | Kevin | Dustin |

Nebraska (-2.5) vs. Purdue | Nebraska | Nebraska | Nebraska | Purdue |
#14 Michigan (-21) vs. Maryland | Michigan | Michigan | Michigan | Michigan |
