Stanford comes up with ingenious solution to no fans in the stands

Stanford was apparently not a fan of the cardboard cutout setup.
Playing in the Pac-12, the Cardinal is one of many football teams playing around the country without fans in the stadium. Many of the teams without fans have opted to sell and place cardboard cutouts of fans throughout the stadium, but that is not what Stanford is doing.
Instead of cardboard cutouts, Stanford has placed over 400 trees in various places throughout the stadium. It may not have that lifelike feel, but it certainly fits at a place like Stanford.
Check it out:

After losing at Oregon in Week 1, the Cardinal is getting ready to face Colorado at home in Week 2 of the Pac-12 schedule. We will have to wait and see if the trees provide a home-field advantage.
