Stanford RB Bryce Love suffered ACL tear in final game

Everyone believed Stanford running back Bryce Love was following a recent trend when he decided to skip his team’s Sun Bowl game against Pitt. As a potentially high NFL Draft pick, he had nothing to gain from playing in that final game.
Love revealed to Yahoo! Sports recently that he actually suffered a serious injury in Stanford’s final game against Cal. According to the report, Love was injured on a run inside the red zone in the fourth quarter.
Stanford won the game 23-13 and Love rushed for 74 yards on 22 carries.
The running back still plans to attend the NFL combine in February but will be limited in the drills. It’s unknown when he might be able to return to the field at full strength.
Love played in 10 games for the Cardinal in 2018, rushing for 739 yards and six touchdowns on 166 attempts. That production was a decline from his junior season, when he finished the year as the second-most productive back in college football. Love ended the 2017 campaign with 2,118 yards and 19 touchdowns while averaging over eight yards per carry.
