Star Purdue CB declares for NFL Draft, announces bowl decision

Purdue senior standout cornerback Cory Trice will be heading to the 2023 NFL Draft.

On Thursday afternoon, Trice announced via his personal Twitter account that he will be forgoing the Citrus Bowl and instead will be declaring for the NFL Draft.

Trice made his statement which included his appreciation for the Boilermakers all around for his decision to leave before the final game.

 “I want to thank my family and friends for the endless support throughout the whole process,” Trice wrote. “To Purdue University, my teammates, fans, trainers, professors and coaching staff, it has been a blessing to have you along to guide me in this journey.”

A fifth-year senior, Trice has been with the Boilermakers since 2018 and has since remained a huge playmaker on defense. Earning a career total of 90 solo tackles, 16 assisted tackles for an overall total of 106 tackles, along with 13 defended passes.

We will see how Trice fairs in the 2023 NFL Draft, which will take place on April 27-29, 2023.
