There’s about eighteen months remaining until the 2021 recruiting class will sign a school, but Ohio State is already securing verbal commitments from some of the top prospects of that cycle.
On Wednesday, the Buckeyes received a fourth commitment in the 2021 class, this one coming from 6-foot-6, 300-pound offensive tackle Ben Christman. The four-star lineman is a native of Richfield, Ohio.
He’s the second player ranked inside the top 50 of 247Sports Composite rankings to commit to Ohio State. The other is five-star defensive end Jack Sawyer, also an Ohio product.
Christman made his announcement on Twitter.
“This has been an exciting and humbling process and I am proud to announce that I have made my final decision,” Christmas wrote. “I am beyond blessed to announce that I will be joining the Brotherhood at THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY!!!”
