There had been some whispers around the college football world that Clemson star receiver Justyn Ross would be exploring his options and enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal. It didn’t take long for those rumors to be put to rest.

Monday morning, Ross squashed those rumors with a short-and-sweet message on Twitter.

“Slow day I see, I’m not transferring,” Ross said.

Ross has been a standout receiver for the Tigers since his freshman year in 2018. As a true freshman, Ross totaled 46 catches for 1,000 yards and 9 touchdowns in 15 games. In 2019, he piled up 865 yards and 8 touchdowns on 66 receptions.

Ross missed all of the 2020 season because of season-ending surgery. He could’ve declared for the 2021 NFL Draft, but opted for a return to Clemson, providing Dabo Swinney’s squad with a No. 1 option at the wide receiver position.

So, while there was quite a bit of interest and curiosity surrounding Ross’s future at Clemson, it seems that he’ll be suiting up for the Tigers in 2021.
