Stefon Diggs is trying to do his part for the Buffalo Bills in NFL Playoff action against the Miami Dolphins. After reeling in a huge gain catch from Josh Allen early in the game, Diggs nearly pulled off an unfathomable touchdown grab ahead of halftime.
Just ahead of halftime, the Dolphins were able to tie the game at 17-all via a big touchdown grab for Mike Gesicki. The Bills did not just go quietly into halftime, getting into field range with a shot at the end zone before the break.
With 11 seconds to go, Diggs was left in man coverage down the sideline. Allen put an awesome throw on Diggs in the end zone, and it initially looked like Diggs pulled off an unthinkable one-handed grab.
Unfortunately, the play was ruled incomplete on the field and upheld after replay had a glimpse at it. Though Diggs did reel in the catch, he did not have full control of the ball until stepping out of bounds.
Nevertheless, Diggs’ effort alone was worth mentioning as he came inches away from arguably the catch of the year in the NFL:
