Stetson Bennett keeps it for 6, draws first blood against TCU

Stetson Bennett is not wasting time in the 2023 National Championship game.
Bennett ended the Bulldogs’ 1st drive of the game by taking a QB option 21 yards to the house. The score gave the Bulldogs an early 7-0 lead with just over 4 minutes gone in the 1st.
The option even faked out the cameraman, as it seemed that Bennett handed off to Daijun Edwards. Bennett instead ran untouched to the end zone for the score.

The rushing score was the 9th such TD for Bennett in 2022, good for 2nd on the team. Bennett finished the regular season with 166 rushing yards.
Bennett went 2-of-2 for 33 yards on the 1st drive, in addition to the 21-yard rushing TD.
