In the first half of Indiana’s season opener with Penn State, running back Stevie Scott has run for a pair of touchdowns and eclipsed the 2,000 career-yard mark.

It came on a big run against Penn State, giving the Hoosiers an early lead in the ball game.

This comes as no surprise to Hoosier football fans.

Last season Scott rushed for 846 yards and a 4.7 yards per carry average. He led the Hoosiers with 96 all-purpose yards per game and 11 touchdowns and was named to the All-Big Ten squad while winning the teams Corby David Memorial Award for the team’s best back.

Now in his junior season, Scott entered the campaign just 18 yards short of gaining 2,000 yards during his Hoosier career.

Scott’s first crossing of the goal line this season was more than impressive, with a 14 yard, bull-run through the Penn State defense.
