Ohio State’s Haskell Garrett is having a strong start to a season many thought he might never play in.

What makes the defensive lineman unique is that he sustained a serious gunshot wound in August. After reportedly trying to stop an argument involving a couple, Garrett was shot in the cheeks. He was rushed to the hospital where he received treatment.

On Saturday, Garrett not only played for the Buckeye defensive, he came up big on one play. His sack of Adrian Martinez is the first of 2020 for Ohio State and forced Nebraska into a third-and-long.
