News broke on Sunday that musical performing artist Rihanna will be headlining the festivities at the Super Bowl LVII halftime show. Rightfully so, there were some reactions to the news.
Fans of Rihanna and media members alike lost it on social media after the news was announced. This year’s Super Bowl will be in Glendale, Arizona at the home of the Arizona Cardinals.
The Super Bowl will be sponsored by Apple Music this time around. Super Bowl LVII will be on Feb. 12, 2023.
People even started to suggest the songs that she should sing at the show. One fan suggested that Kanye West should make an appearance to perform the hit song “All of the Lights”. There were some fans who were disgruntled, however and are getting tired of pop singers performing at the event.
Last season’s halftime show had Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige. We’ll see how Rihanna’s lives up to the last one.
Here are some of the reactions to the news:
Nothing against anyone who is offered a chance to perform at the Super Bowl because that’s not something any person can turn down… but can we get some different genres of music other than pop?

I’m fine with Rihanna doing the halftime show… but why with Apple Music, it just makes the nfl look desperate
