Suspect in fatal stabbing of C.J. Beathard’s brother placed on Most Wanted list

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued a “Most Wanted Alert” for the suspect in the murders of Clayton Beathard and Paul Trapeni III that occurred outside a Nashville bar over the weekend.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, an argument started over a woman inside the Dogwood Bar in Nashville. A man reportedly made an unwanted advancement towards the woman, who was a friend of the victims. Things turned physical and violent when the two parties went outside, and Beathard and Trapeni were fatally stabbed.

A third man was stabbed but was released from the hospital.

23-year-old Michael Mosley is the suspect in the murders and, on Tuesday morning, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued a “Most Wanted Alert.” He is being charged with two counts of criminal homicide and one count of attempted homicide.

Mosley is labeled as a “danger to Middle Tennessee.”

According to The Tennessean, Mosley has had a lengthy criminal record, which dates back to 2014. At the time of the homicides, Mosley was free on bond. From The Tennessean:

At the time of the homicides, Mosley was free on $5,000 bond  while facing a felony assault charge for punching and kicking a 37-year-old woman at a West Nashville Walmart in December 2018, Davidson County court records show. In addition the his aggravated assault case, Davidson County criminal court records show Mosely’s criminal history includes aggravated burglary, attempted aggravated burglary and drug-related arrests and convictions on multiple occasions dating back to 2014.

Beathard was the brother of former Iowa and current San Francisco 49ers quarterback C.J. Beathard.
