Tackett Curtis is an elite defender in the 2023 recruiting class who has been on B1G radars for a while. On Monday, he revealed his commitment.
After previously cutting his final list down to Ohio State, Wisconsin and USC, Curtis announced a commitment to Lincoln Riley and the Trojans. Curtis is a 4-star linebacker out of Many, Louisiana for the class of 2023.
After a lot of consideration and thought I’ve decided to commit to the University of Southern California! I’d like to thank everyone that has supported me throughout this process and all of the programs that recruited me! #FightOn #USC ✌️ pic.twitter.com/bAU84ixsYX

Missing out on Curtis is definitely a blow to the Buckeyes and Badgers, even more so since those programs may face him in the years to come. Barring a transfer or other changes, Curtis and the Trojans will begin play in the B1G in 2024 (his second season).
According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, the 6-foot-2 Curtis is the No. 5 LB and 92nd overall prospect in the country.
