Return of the king.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was back at practice on Monday after an 11-day layoff. The reason for Brady’s absence was described as “personal.”

The seven-time Super Bowl champion appeared not to miss a beat. The 45-year-old Brady has been in the NFL for two decades after a collegiate career with the Michigan Wolverines. Brady probably has a good sense of preparation at this point.

“Pretty much as expected,” tight end Cameron Brate said. “Wherever Tom was, he was working out still and getting good reps in. Yeah, if anyone can get away with the 11-day break during training camp, it’s Tom. He came back kind of firing on all cylinders (Monday). Yeah, we’re all excited he’s back and ready to move on.”

Brady and the Bucs open up their regular season schedule against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 11. Expect Brady to be on point as he looks to win his eighth Super Bowl title.
