There was a positive note for Maryland on Saturday as junior quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa broke the program’s single-season record for most completions in a season with 287. Tagovailoa passed John Kaleo, who set the single-season completion mark with 286 in 1992.

He has thrown for 3,283 yards this season as he is only 217 passing yards away from the program record of most passing yards in a single-season set by Scott Milanovich in 1993.
Tagovailoa threw for 19-of-33 completions for 178 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the loss to Michigan. He is one of the bright spots for a team that has lost six games this season.
