Taulia Tagovailoa connects with Dontay Demus Jr. on beautiful deep bomb for Terps’ first TD of 2021

Maryland opened the year with a field goal before falling behind to West Virginia, but it did not take long for the offense to come alive.
The Mountaineers took a 7-3 lead early on as the Terrapins were still finding their groove. Then, after getting a first down, Taulia Tagovailoa had a chance to test his arm strength.
Tagovailoa found his man Dontay Demus running long on the outside and by his arm in one-on-one coverage. Tagovailoa made sure to put plenty of air under it as Demus ran under it and was unable to be caught.
The Terps’ first score of 2021 goes for 66 yards:

Maryland’s QB is on target early, completing 6 of his first 7 passes. Tagovailoa already has 109 yards and a touchdown before the first quarter is expired.
