Taulia Tagovailoa fights emotions during video tribute from parents, brother Tua

Taulia Tagovailoa has an all-time Big Ten record to his credit after Maryland’s Week 13 win over Rutgers. After an explosive performance against the Scarlet Knights, Tagovailoa is now the B1G’s all-time leading passer with 11,256 career yards with the Terrapins.
Following Tagovailoa’s accomplishment, Maryland showed the quarterback a video tribute with his parents and brother Tua celebrating the record. It is certainly an emotional moment for Taulia after delivering a record-setting performance.

“Alright, son. Congratulations on being the overall and all-time passing leader for the Big Ten,” said Tagovailoa’s father. “I know you’ve come a long way and never thought that something like this would ever happen, but you made it happen… Congratulations, from mom and dad.”
“Congratulations son on just the prestigious honor. We’re so proud of you and we love you forever,” Tagovailoa’s mother encouraged.
“Lia! What’s up, bro? Just wanted to congratulate you on being the Big Ten’s all-time leading passer,” said Tua. “Very proud of you, the work ethic that you have and the love you have for the game of football… Keep going.”
