Tayven Jackson scored his first touchdown as the starting quarterback for Indiana on Saturday. Jackson threaded a great ball to Jaylin Lucas to put the Hoosiers on the board.

Jackson transferred to Indiana from Tennessee during the offseason. He appeared in three games for the Volunteers last season. Jackson hails from Greenwood (Ind.) Center Grove and was a former 4-star recruit in the 2022 class.

Jackson made it look easy as he found Lucas with plenty of space to score the touchdown. Jackson’s first touchdown as a Hoosier was for 30 yards.

Jackson was named the full-time starter this week after battling it out with Brendan Sorsby. Jackson really took hold of the job after a solid showing against Indiana State during Week 2

Indiana is doing everything it can to finally beat Jeff Brohm. If Brohm wins on Saturday, he will have a 5-1 record against the Hoosiers in the last six meetings.
