Seth Green proved to be a leader at Minnesota and now he’s doing the same in Houston.

On Saturday, Houston revealed its team captains for the upcoming football season. Green was one of eight players to be named a leader for the Cougars in 2021.

Green spent four seasons at Minnesota playing as a quarterback and wide receiver for the Golden Gophers. He primarily took snaps out of the Wildcat and was incredibly difficult for defenses to stop in short-yardage situations.

At Houston, Green will be playing as a tight end.

Green played in 30 career games at Minnesota. He accounted for 388 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns on the ground on 114 carries while also catching 6 passes for 83 yards. Green also completed 6-of-7 pass attempts for 57 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Following Minnesota’s 3-4 campaign in 2020, Green decided to transfer out of the program for his final year of eligibility. He picked Houston shortly after entering the portal.
