A talented defensive back for the class of 2022 recently made cuts to his list of potential destinations.
On Friday, cornerback Cam Johnson dropped his list of top seven schools on Twitter. His list included in-state program Maryland, along with Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Penn State, and Boston College.

Johnson is a four-star cornerback out of Baltimore, Maryland. He is rated as the No. 31 CB nationally for the cycle and is just outside of the top-300 prospects nationally on the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. Johnson is also the No. 7 prospect out of Maryland for 2022.
As things currently stand, Johnson would be Maryland’s highest-rated recruit and first four-star for the 2022 class should he commit to the Terrapins. Penn State currently has seven four-star commits for their 2022 class, headlined by four-star WR Kaden Saunders out of Ohio.
It will be interesting to see how Johnson’s recruitment shapes up and where he lands to begin his college career.
