Terry McLaurin is back at training camp with the Commanders, but the two sides are reportedly no closer on a contract extension.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, McLaurin reported to training camp on Sunday morning with an ankle injury. While the severity is still unknown, the injury is expected to land him on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list.
McLaurin was being fined $50,000 for every day of missed training camp with the Commanders. Now that he has reported to camp, that will no longer be the case.

McLaurin is still expected to fight for a new contract ahead of the 2025 season. The former Ohio State star is entering the final season of a 3-year, $68 million contract he signed with the Commanders. He’s seeking a new deal with long-term security ahead of his age-30 season.
McLaurin previously expressed his frustration over not receiving a new deal from the Commanders.
“I understand everything is a business, but at the same time, I want to put myself in a position where I’m valued and I feel appreciated and things like that,” he said earlier this month. “Unfortunately, that hasn’t transpired the way I wanted to.”
McLaurin has spent the last 6 seasons with the Commanders and has made 2 Pro Bowl rosters. He’s gone over the 1,000-yard mark in 4 consecutive seasons and caught a career-high 13 touchdowns last season.
